Voltage and Current Excitation for Time-Harmonic Eddy-Current Problems
We want to give a systematic presentation of voltage or current intensity excitation for time-harmonic eddy-current problems. The key point of our approach resides in a suitable power law, that permits to understand the role of voltage excitation. We also enlighten the influence of the boundary conditions on the proposed formulations.
متن کاملBlock alternating splitting implicit iteration methods for saddle-point problems from time-harmonic eddy current models
For the saddle-point problems arising from the finite element discretizations of the hybrid formulations of the time-harmonic eddy current problems, we establish a class of block alternating splitting implicit iteration methods and demonstrate its unconditional convergence. Experimental results are given to show the feasibility and effectiveness of this class of iterative methods when they are ...
متن کاملA Robust FEM-BEM Solver for Time-Harmonic Eddy Current Problems
This paper is devoted to the construction and analysis of robust solution techniques for time-harmonic eddy current problems in unbounded domains. We discretize the time-harmonic eddy current equation by means of a symmetrically coupled finite and boundary element method, taking care of the different physical behavior in conducting and non-conducting subdomains, respectively. We construct and a...
متن کاملEfficient Solvers for Nonlinear Time-Periodic Eddy Current Problems
This work deals with all aspects of the numerical simulation of nonlinear time-periodic eddy current problems, ranging from the description of the nonlinearity to an efficient solution procedure. Due to the periodicity of the solution, we suggest a truncated Fourier series expansion, i.e. a so-called multiharmonic ansatz, instead of a costly time-stepping scheme. Linearization is done by a Newt...
متن کاملSingularities of eddy current problems
We consider the time-harmonic eddy current problem in its electric formulation where the conductor is a polyhedral domain. By proving the convergence in energy, we justify in what sense this problem is the limit of a family of Maxwell transmission problems: Rather than a low frequency limit, this limit has to be understood in the sense of BOSSAVIT [11]. We describe the singularities of the solu...
